How to lace your shoes

How to lace your shoes

Loop-lacing lock Heel lock
If you have a narrow heel or feel you like a more secure fit around the heel of your shoe, when you have laced your shoe to the top, miss the next to last eyelet and lace straight through the very back one, then make a loop and cross over through this loop. Hopefully the picture will be helpful here! Then when you tie your shoe you will find that you can 'pull in' the heel for a more secure fit.

High Instep High instep?
Solution: Start with normal criss-cross lacing, but over the midfoot feed the laces up each side of the shoe. Finish with the criss-cross technique at the top.

Wide Forefoot Wide forefoot?
Solution:Try missing out the bottom few eyelets then lacing the rest of the shoe as normal to give more room in the forefoot.

 Narrow Forefoot Narrow foot?
Solution:Try using the same 'heel lock' technique but in the middle of the shoe to give a more secure fit around the mid-foot.
